Dexter's ideal home
Dexter is looking for understanding adopters who are happy to continue his training and help build his confidence. His new home will need to have a secure, private garden. Dexter cannot live with small animals such as cats or rabbits but might be able to live with another well-matched dog. He could also live with dog-savvy children aged 12 or over, who can understand when he needs space. Ideally, his new home will be able to slowly build up any time that he is left on his own.

Dexter is a two-year-old Dachshund cross Cocker Spaniel. He is a sweet soul who has really come out of his shell with us and is always excited to greet his handlers to go out for walks, or to have some cuddles. Dexter can initially be a sensitive soul and does take a little bit of time to feel comfortable around new people. With time and plenty of tasty treats, he does start to show his cheeky side, running around with his toys and nudging you for affection. Dexter is looking for a home with patient and loving owners who can carry on building his confidence and socialisation skills once he has settled.
