Description

Camilla's ideal home

Camilla is looking for a fun and engaging and active home with adopters who will take her on adventures and walks, who will play with her and keep her mentally and physically stimulated. Adopters with experience and knowledge of working breeds is a plus. She is a happy friendly girl, who would suit a family with children aged 10 and over who can help with training and know when to give her space to rest. Camilla can be a little worried and vocal around other dogs, so would like to be the only dog in the home, as she was previously a working dog, she cannot live with any other pets at all. She would benefit from calm walking friends who will help her build her confidence. Camilla is a very clever girl and knows a few things already, but has the potential and the smarts to learn so much more, she has been housetrained in the past, but will need a refresher so a private and secure garden with high fencing is essential. She may be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a snooze! Camilla will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Camilla's perfect match?

This very busy girl is Camilla, a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel whose always on the go! She is a smart cookie and loves to learn new tricks, and with a tasty treat in hand you will have all of her attention. She is a happy girl and does everything with her tail wagging. After a busy walk and some enrichment, she likes nothing more than cuddling up for fusses on the sofa. This clever, bubbly girl will be a wonderful addition to her new home!

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
