Milo's ideal home

Milo can live with children aged 16 and over. He is house trained but will need someone around most of the day as he is not used to being left. Once settled his leaving hours could be built up. He needs a family who is willing to continue his training and give him time to settle. Milo mustn't be allowed near cats as he will chase and grab them. Milo has episodes of wobbling/collapsing at times. After some exclusions, our vets believe that this is a condition called Narcolepsy. We go into more detail about this during the application process. Milo is currently in a foster home.

Could you be Milo's perfect match?

Milo is a very excitable blend of Cocker Spaniel, Jack Russell and Beagle! He's only one year old and a very boisterous lad so he will need a family who can keep up with him. Milo is rather strong on his lead and his Beagle nose comes to the fore when he's out for walks! He likes to say hello to people and other dogs and gets along very well with them. Milo loves his treats and enjoys learning so would thrive with an owner who wants to continue training. He travels happily in a car and will jump readily in to the boot, waiting for his next adventure!

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
