Description

Tucker's ideal home

Tucker is a fun young lad who is looking for patient and understanding adopters who will be up for plenty of fun training activities and who are willing to build everything up for him slowly at Tuckers pace. Tucker has hip dysplasia so is looking for a family that will enjoy doing tracking and search games with him so that he has a great outlet to channel his energy in to. He will be sent home with a physio plan which he enjoys doing in exchange for a tasty treat. Tucker does lack confidence and can be worried by handling and people approaching him so will be best suited to an adult only home, preferably with not too many visitors. He enjoys being social with other dogs and will always be up for having some walking buddies but will need to be the only pooch in the home as he does prefer to have the home comforts to himself. Tucker will benefit from having a family member around majority of the day to keep him entertained. Any time that requires him to be solo will need building up gradually. He is starting to learn how to relax with a tasty chew on a comfy bed and the team can chat through how to continue this. Adopters will need to visit Tucker multiple times at the centre before he head off to his home.

Could you be Tucker's perfect match?

Tucker is an amazing lad who has a real passion for food! He loves to enjoy a tasty chew in his own space. Another love of Tucker's is toys and we often find him carrying them around. He'd love to have his own toy box so he can do swapsies and continue the fun with his family. He would love to have a garden to potter around in as he will need to be kept on lead when out on his walks and this would also be a good area to do some fun search and scent games with him too. If you are looking for a dog to do some training and go on adventures with, then Tucker might be your guy!

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
