Description

Ronnie's ideal home

Ronnie is a active 3yr old cocker spaniel he is a typical young Cocker Spaniel who loves to be on the go! He is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors to start with whilst he is settling in. His new adopters need to be active adventurers who would like to take Ronnie on long walks and provide him with all the exercise and mental stimulation he needs. Ronnie has the potential to live with another calm dog but he is just as happy being the only pet. Ronnie can be vocal when left or when he is feeling frustrated so would like his new family to be with him for the majority of the day before introducing leaving hours, but even then this should only be for short periods. Ronnie struggles settling into his new homes and needs someone patient who can give him space when needed. Ronnie would like his own garden to play in as he loves chasing tennis balls! If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.

Could you be Ronnie's perfect match?

Ronnie has a tendency to bark when he is feeling a little overwhelmed, such as going to the vets or when first starting his walks. Ronnie came to us with very itchy skin and wasn't used to going to the vets, he is currently learning to wear a muzzle for any vet visits, and would need ongoing support around muzzle training for the vet to ensure he feels comfortable wearing it. He is also on medication for his itchy skin which will be ongoing and will be discussed with potential adopters. Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs.
Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
