Description

Ollie's ideal home

Ollie is a handsome one and a half year old spaniel. He is an active boy looking for a home with patient adopters who are willing to continue his training to help him learn new skills and alternative behaviours. He is still very young and has the potential to make a wonderful addition to the right home that has the time to dedicate to helping him thrive. Ollie has the potential to guard resources so any adopters would need to be aware of this and be mindful to swap items with him and give him space when he has something he considers high value. Because of this, Ollie is looking for an adult only home, he would need multiple meets at the centre until he is comfortable with his new adopters. Ollie will need a fully secure, private garden to enjoy and he would like his family to be with him for the majority of the time until he has fully settled in. Please note that Ollie has hip dysplasia which will require ongoing management with hydrotherapy and pain relief as required.

Could you be Ollie's perfect match?

Ollie is a spirited young boy who thrives on activity and adventure, making him the ideal companion for an active home looking for a four-legged member to share their outdoor pursuits. While Ollie's enthusiasm is infectious, he can be a bit strong on the lead so this is still work in progress. Ollie's zest for life occasionally results in overexcitement, leading to some playful mouthing; his new owners should be confident in guiding him toward more appropriate behaviors. Our training team is here to support potential adopters on helping Ollie become the best version of himself. If you're ready for an active and loving addition to your home, Ollie might just be the perfect fit for you.

You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
