Mikey's ideal home
Meet Mikey - he's a fabulous English Cocker Spaniel with a super smart brain. While Mikey does enjoy a gentle neck scratch, he can be uneasy with some types of handling, particularly grooming, vet visits, or having a lead clipped on. However, our Training Team have been making great progress with him to help build up his confidence. Mikey's potential adopters should be committed in continuing his ongoing training and be able to make regular visits to our rehoming centre to work alongside our Training and Behaviour Team. We are hoping to find Mikey an active, dog-experienced family, where the youngest members are aged at least 18. Mikey is unable to share his home with any dogs, cats, house rabbits, guinea pigs or birds but he is happy to mooch alongside other calm-natured dogs on his walks.
Ultimately, Mikey's ideal home would be somewhere quiet and peaceful, with a garden of his own to chill out in. He will also need his own room in the house, where he can go to for mealtimes. His new home must be situated within an hour's drive to our rehoming centre - BN43 5LT.

This fun-loving eight-year-old has now entered his senior years, but despite this, he still has plenty of energy. He particularly enjoys chasing around after his toys and playing a game of 'swapsies' with a tennis ball. When it comes to making friends, Mikey prefers a 'hands off' and gentle approach until he has built up a solid bond with you. Instead, he will prefer showing off his beautiful "sit" or "paw" in exchange for some tasty treats! Once you've taken the time to get to know him, Mikey will begin to show you his affectionate side.
